There was a seminar hosted by AIESEC-LC-CUHK.
About Mr Ng Pok-lam (吳博林)
Mr Ng graduated from CUHK with a major in Marketing. During his university years, he had been the International Relations Officer in AIESEC-LC-CUHK. Mr Ng is currently an Account Director in the newly-arising local firm, Metta Communications, and has been involved in the production of the following advertisements: Ocean Park’s Halloween, Fairwood, Mannings, Minute Maid, Nestea, Wai Yuen Tong and Bupa Health Insurance, etc.
In 2007 Mr Ng started the blog http://ad101hk.blogspot.com for some sharing on the advertising industry, which caught the attention of many net users. In 2008 he even published his articles as the book “Advertising101″ (“廣告101″), which jumped up to be the best-seller in the bookstores for consecutive weeks.
It is very inspiring and informative. It let me know more about the Advertising field. Well, if I can, I would also like to join Advertising instead of staying in I.T. field. (I prefer creative/ innovative better than routine work)
One of the remarkable advices given by Siu Hung – You have to stock up with any related video/ graphic as soon as possible.
So Here I am to share some of the interesting Advertisement in I.T. field.

What’s that snow leopard doing on Microsoft’s Live Search?

As some of the readers are not studying engineering, just in case you don’t get the humor here, let me explain a bit.
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows NT
Windows 2000
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Mac OS 10.2 – Jaguar
Mac OS 10.3 – Panther
Mac OS 10.4 – Tiger
Mac Os 10.5 – Leopard
“Leopard” is actually the code name for Mac OS X
Actually the battle between Apple and Microsoft is really interesting.
You can take a look of I am a PC, I am a Mac.
And here was what Microsoft responded:
It is really interesting to watch those video clips. (Well…it is so sad that we cannot watch those in Hong Kong)
Here come another two new advertising videos from Microsoft. (both are released in February)
And I am really looking forward to Apple’s next ad spot.
By the way, in the seminar, I heard others asking “In such Era of information overload, how can we select the right things for reference?”
I have my own answer in my mind.
“Why not make yourself a better reader? Use I.T. tool to do that!”
